About TVIfiber
- What is TVIfiber?
TVIfiber is a solely owned subsidiary of Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association that will provide high speed internet and telephone services. - Why is TVEPA doing internet and telephone?
The area that TVEPA serves has limited or no access to high speed internet. The decision was made to improve the quality of life by providing high speed internet and telephone services just as the TVEPA founders did with electricity in 1939. - Who is eligible for TVIfiber?
The entire TVEPA service territory will have access to TVIfiber’s high speed internet and telephone services. Please enter your address to determine availability in your area. - When and where will TVIfiber be available?
We are working as fast as possible to construct the fiber optic network and provide service. Track progress by clicking on Service Areas at tvifiber.com, and utilize our interactive map. - Will it affect my electric bill?
No. TVIfiber internet services will be billed separately from TVEPA electric services.
Internet
- What is fiber and what’s so special about it?
Fiber describes the use of fiber-optic cable which is a flexible glass filament that transmits light as a method of data transport. Light passing through the fiber cable is faster than existing copper lines. - Are there data caps?
No. All internet packages are unlimited. - Will there be email accounts with TVIfiber?
TVIfiber will not provide email services. - Will there be a charge for equipment?
No. There will not be a charge for the initial equipment required for service.
Telephone
- Benefits of VOIP telephone service from TVIfiber
Since our Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone service is through a fiber network, it provides crystal-clear communication. The phone service is provided at competitive rates. Unlike many other phone providers, we will not charge any fees that aren’t mandated. - Can I keep my telephone number?
Yes. Under most circumstances, you will be able to keep your current phone number. - Can I have multiple lines?
Yes. Business services have additional line capabilities. - Will there be a charge for equipment?
No. There will not be a charge for equipment required to provide phone service. The customer will be required to provide their own telephone. - Are calling plans unlimited?
Yes. With the exception of international and toll calls, all calling plans are unlimited.
Schedule an Install
- How do I schedule an install?
Go to tvifiber.com.
Click on Check Your Availability.
Register by inputting your service address and selecting desired internet and telephone services.
Create a new customer account by completing all required fields. *Email address required.
Select an install date from the calendar provided.
Verify your email from TVIfiber to secure the install date.
Installation
- How is installation scheduled?
Once your area is active for service, you may schedule your install by going to tvifiber.com and following the steps to create a new account. - Do I have to be home for installation?
Yes. You or someone over the age of 18 must be present at all times during installation to verify locations of where to install the equipment. - Will installers need access inside my home / business?
Yes. The installer will need to mount the equipment in a central location and set up the Residential Gateway. - Is there an installation fee?
No. There are no fees for installation.
Billing
- Will my bills for electric and fiber be together or separate?
Separate. The bills for TVIfiber will be combined if you have both internet and telephone. However, it will be billed separately from the electricity use from TVEPA. - When will I be billed and how can I pay?
Services are billed in advance and are due by the fifth (5th) of each month. You may mail your payment or come to headquarters to pay in person. Also, subscribers can create an online account at tvifiber.com, by clicking on Pay Bill and completing the online account process, to pay by credit card, debit card or e-check 24/7. - Are there service contracts?
Residential customers will not be required to sign a contract; however under most circumstances businesses will need to sign an agreement.
